 About TKE At QU
Founded in 1899 we believe in the principles of Love Charity and Esteem. As the largest international fraternity in the world we offer a life long brotherhood that lasts beyond your college years. We judge men not on wealth rank or honor but personal worth & character.
Kappa Psi Chapter
As the oldest student run organization on campus we were founded here at Quinnipiac University in 1967. Since then we have been dedicated to making an impact both here on campus and in the community. Two of TKE's biggest annual events are the St. Jude Children's Hospital Golf Tournament and the Ricardo Petrillo Dodge ball Tournament. With over fifteen annual events a year, TKE continues to make an impact on campus. Weekly brotherhood events builds bonds between brothers, making them leaders in and out of the classroom. We have also been announced the Top TKE Chapter for 2 years in a row, showing our commitment, dedication, and ambition as a chapter.
Philanthopy and Community Service
At the Kappa Psi chapter we believe strongly in giving back to the community. This year alone we have contributed over 1,200 man-hours to various organizations, which include the American Red Cross, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the Ricardo Petrillo Scholarship Fund, The Hamden Police and Fire Department, the American Cancer Society and the Phil Duerr Scholarship fund. Each year we are able to raise over $15,000 for Philanthropic causes and community service projects.
Our National Philanthropy currently is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Each year we hold a different event to help raise money and awareness of the great things they provide. All philanthropy events will be posted on this website with details and information on how you can contribute or participate. Scholarship and Education
Academics are very important to the Kappa Psi chapter. In order to help the brothers of TKE we hold weekly study sessions. We currently have a GPA of 3.01 Last semester we had numerous brothers make the deans list and had numerous brothers inducted in the Greek Honors Society. Kappa Psi is committed in ensuring that all brothers are strong in all their academics. |
Brotherhood
Every week we hold brotherhood events that include Paintaballing to Hockey Games. At the end of every year we host the Red Carnation Ball which is our annual formal. |
